Putting Irish Castle Hotels on the Map

I’ve just updated pages of some castle hotels to finally include the interactive map with each of hotel’s location.

You can zoom the map in or out to better understand how to find the castle hotel of your choice. Later this month I’ll be adding more changes to help you plan your route even better!

Smithtown Castle

Smithtown Castle is a medieval castle in Kilshanny, Co. Clare, Ireland. This castle had been known as Ballynagowan Castle for the most part of its 500 years of history.

Staying at Smithtown Castle

Smithtown is a romantic castle where you can enjoy a self-catering break. Apart from a (relatively) large banqueting hall, there is also the Great Hall and Minstrel’s Gallery and three double bedroom chambers with luxurious furniture. There are four floors in the castle.  Not only all the rooms are centrally heated but most of them have underfloor heating as well. Naturally, all the bedrooms are equipped with TV sets.

Depending on the time of year, it will cost you 1200-1800 euro to stay at Smithtown Castle for a week.
